When I first decided I wanted to make a lifestyle change and start exercising I went to sports authority to buy some sort of home exercise equipment maybe some dumbbells or something, but I had no idea what I would end up getting. I stumbled upon this thing called an iron gym which was a pull-up bar contraption that just propped up in your doorway and could easily remove at anytime. You could also use it for a couple other exercises as well. I knew at the time I could barely do 1 or 2 pull-ups if that, but it was $30 and I decided to buy it and give it a try. One of the best parts about it was that I set it up right in my bedroom and could train by myself and didn't have to worry about anyone watching or judging me. Definitely one of the best purchases and decisions I've made. I started by watching videos on YouTube and doing research online about training and proper ways to do pull-ups etc. Within about one month from barely being able to do 1-2 pull-ups I was able to do 17. This is what got me started and something I recommend to anyone male or female, doing pull-ups won't make you huge it will get you strong and defined. To this day the same iron gym I purchased about 10 years ago is still in use. Remember it's never too late to make a lifestyle change or develop a positive new habit and you don't need a gym membership or to leave your house to exercise. - Adam Kinetic
